Stolen and mis-described watches are a recurring problem in the secondary market. Extraordinary craftsmanship, and almost no shared infrastructure for proving who owns what.

Every collector knows the feeling. A friend buys a piece. Papers look right. Years later a serial check turns up another owner on another continent. The watch is real. The provenance was not.

Nobody can say how many fine watches change hands each year with a broken chain of custody — there is no shared record to count them against.

No public registry exists to cite.

01Is the registry really free?: Yes—registering your watches and keeping their records is free. Fees apply only to optional paid services, such as expert verification, and are always shown to you before you confirm anything.
02How is the record kept trustworthy?: Verified status can only be granted by an authorised Orvion verifier after a physical inspection of the watch, and every transfer and service event is recorded in the watch's timeline. Blockchain anchoring is on our roadmap, but it is not part of the product today.
03Do I have to make my collection public?: No. Visibility is per-watch. You can keep an entry fully private, share a single watch’s certificate via link, or list it publicly when you choose to sell. Default is private.
04Which brands are covered?: Any serial-bearing fine watch. The registry catalogs forty-plus marques including Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Rolex, Omega, IWC, Cartier, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Vacheron Constantin, A. Lange & Söhne, F.P. Journe, and Richard Mille.
05When does the registry open?: We open to waitlist members first, in the order they reserved, before opening publicly. We will write to you when it is your turn — we do not publish a date we cannot promise.
